Nigeria records 62 new COVID-19 infections

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) announced 62 new cases of coronavirus (COVID-19), recorded from 11 states across the country on Sunday.

This brings to 61,992 the total number of confirmed infections since the outbreak of the pandemic early this year.

According to the health agency, of the total number of infections, 57,465 had been discharged while 1,130 deaths were recorded.

It further explained that the 62 new cases recorded on Sunday came from Taraba-18, Ogun-15. the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) -6 and Kaduna-6.

The rest were fromKatsina-4, Ondo-4, Ekiti-3, Rivers-3, Kano-1, Osun-1 and Sokoto-1.
