Nigerian Army announced that on Thursday, its troops eliminated numerous terrorists, detained 15 suspects, and seized weapons and military equipment during ongoing operations across various regions, according to a reliable source at Army Headquarters cited by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
The source emphasized that the military has maintained relentless pressure on terrorists and criminal elements nationwide.

Similarly, troops of the 192 Battalion, operating along the Pulka–Ngoshe road in Gwoza, neutralized another terrorist and retrieved an AK-47 rifle, with blood trails suggesting additional enemy losses.
“Five family members of ISWAP/JAS terrorists, including two women and three children, surrendered to troops at Banki Junction in Bama after escaping from Bula Daloye village,” the source disclosed. Additionally, troops from the 50 Task Force Battalion and 134 Special Forces Battalion recovered two artillery shells during an ambush along the Marte–Dikwa route in Dikwa.
In Lagos, the 9 Brigade arrested 12 impostors posing as military officers and cadets in fake uniforms at Ojota. In Abuja, Operation SWEEP operatives apprehended a suspect wearing woodland camouflage in Waru, Abuja Municipal Area Council.
In the South-East, “troops of the 145 Battalion detained two suspected cultists in Umuahia South, Abia State, recovering two locally made pistols, six cartridges, and other items,” the source noted. In Rivers State, troops of the 343 Artillery Regiment intercepted two wooden boats carrying approximately 400 liters of illegally refined condensate in Onelga, though the suspects fled upon spotting the troops.
