The Conference of Speakers of State Legislatures of Nigeria, has commiserated with its Member, the Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, Matthew Kolawole, over the death of his wife.
The late Pastor (Mrs) Zainab Esther Kolawole died after a brief illness at a Lagos hospital, on Sunday at the age of 50.

The Speakers, according to a statement signed by Abdul Burra, on behalf of their Chairman who is also the Speaker of the Bauchi State House of Assembly, Abubakar Suleiman, described the news as “sudden” and “shocking”.
He extolled her qualities of “being a virtuous, righteous and devoted wife” to their colleague and brother Rt. Hon. Kolawole and great pillar of her family and womenfolk of Kogi State.
Suleiman who stated that “the deceased has been the secret behind the sterling leadership qualities of her husband, political breakthrough and his many achievements in both public and private engagements,” said she died at a time when her family and people of Kogi State needed her the most.
He told the Speaker that although “losing an obedient and beloved wife at a time like this when she is dearly needed is irreparable and devastating,” he urged him to take solace in the fact she lived a fulfilled life of service to God, her family and people of Kogi State.
While praying for the deceased, the Chairman also prayed to Almighty Allah to give the Speaker, his family and the people of Kogi State the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.
