Nigerians, others mourn Johnny Nash

Musicians and music lovers in Nigeria are still mourning the death of American solo and sentimental singer, Johnny Nash who died on Wednesday.

The popular and highly adored singer who died at the age of 80, was a great inspiration to both the artistes and music enthusiasts back in the days. In fact, many singers emulated and copied his pattern of music.

Remember the track, ‘’I Can See Clearly Now’’ and other sonorous tunes from him and how they held the world spellbound when they were released.

President of Nigeria Music Club and a sing alike of the demised legend, Mr Charles Imoloame [Charlimo] in a special tribute to him, wrote; ‘’As a young man, I was your fan and also played your works on my guitar. Today I play this song [I Can See CLEARLY…] as a tribute to the great the great musician that you were and the influence had across the world.

‘’We celebrate you as you bow out at 80 from planet earth. Thanks for the gift of talent you shared to the world.  May the angels of God receive your soul to a peaceful rest in paradise.’’

Similar messages are still pouring down from different quarters as more and more people across the world pay their last respect.
