Nottingham Forest coach, Sean Dyche
The sack season is not slowing down, but becoming the trend following poor managerial performances.
Nottingham Forest have relieved Sean Dyche of his duties following Tuesday night’s frustrating result against Wolverhampton Wanderers, who currently sit bottom of the English Premier League (EPL) table.
It was a game many expected Forest to win. Instead, it became another problem.
Forest had more of the ball, finishing with 58 percent possession and 14 shots, but only four were on target. The build up was there most times, but the final decision making just wasn’t good enough. A couple of real chances went begging and you could sense the tension growing.
Wolves did not dominate proceedings. They managed nine attempts overall, yet they looked more composed in decisive moments.
Forest’s back line, again, did not inspire much confidence.
Six concessions in seven games is not something any manager survives for long.
The club confirmed Dyche’s dismissal in the early hours of Wednesday through a statement on their official X account.
Forest have now parted ways with two managers between 2025 and 2026 and are set to appoint a third. That is a lot of movement for a club still trying to find its footing. Stability does not usually come like this.
One thing is certain – whoever comes next walks into pressure straight away.
