
Delegations from Borno State Sport Council during a coursey visit to the President of Dr. Mohammed Dlakwa (DMD) Football Club, Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Babale in Maiduguri

The Acting Executive Secretary Borno State Sports Council, Hajiya Amina Manga, has to congratulated Dr. Mohammed Dlakwa (DMD) Football Club, President Alhaji Abubakar Ibrahim Babale for qualifying into the stage of super 8 in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Premier League (NPFL).
A statement issued and signed by Ibrahim Tukur, the State Chairman, Sport Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN) Borno State Chapter, said the delegation of Directors include – Comrade Ahmed Sani Abdulkadir Director of Admin and supply, Mohammed Musa Director of School sports, Yusuf Mohammed Director Stadium and facilities, Ruth Auta who is the Director Organising of the council as well as Mohammed Ali Deputy Director Technical among others.
In his remark, Comrade Sani Abdulkadir who represented the Acting Executive Secretary of the Council acknowledged the efforts of the member by single handedly taking the Club to a greater height and by engaging the Youths of Kwaya Kusar local government and Borno state at large.
The statement added that, this is the first time in history of the state to have two teams from Borno to qualify into the stage of super eight.
While DMD President ,Honourable Babale appreciated the entourage saying “sports is my home and i’m enjoying sports more than anything to me, because my vision is to engage youths and see to their progress”
“That is, sports and Borno State Sports Council are the pillars and backbones of all sporting activities in the state”, Babale said
The member also urged the directors to cooperate with themselves towards moving the state forward, stressing that,” I am ever ready to accommodate all complaints from the sports council for immediate intervention and action.”
In his closing remark, Honourable Babale assured them of his confidence to clinch Premier League ticket while seeking for prayers from sports lovers and fans in the state as plans are underway for fans and supporters to start watching Nigerian Premier League live at the El kanemi Warriors sports Center, Maiduguri.
He also urged the directors to organize a competition even if it is para games or traditional games to engage the youths at the grassroots participate in the competition
