Osinbajo leads presidential delegation to Borno for wedding Fatiha of Shehu of Borno’s daughter and Emir of Lafia’s son

Vice President Yemi Osinbajo SAN has led presidential delegation to the wedding Fatiha of the daughter of Shehu of Borno, His Eminence, Alh. (Dr.) Abubakar Ibn Garbai Umar El kanemi, Barrister Aisha Shehu Abubakar (Yabawa) and the Son of Emir of Lafia, HRH, Hon. Justice Sidi Bage, Umaru Faruk Sidi Bage (Ta’Al), which was held on Saturday at The Maidugiri Ultra Modern Jummaa Central Mosque.

The Presidential delegation include former defunct Vice Presidential Candidate of SDP, and Nigerian High Commissioner to Republics of Chad and Niger, Ambassador Babagana KIngjbe, Chief of Staff to the President, Ambassador Professor Ibrahim Zulu Gambari, National Security Adviser (NSA), Major General Babagana Monguno (Rtd), NNPC Group Managing Director (GMD) Mele Kolo Kyari, Director General (DG) of National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Ahmed Rufai Abubakar and others.

Senator Abdulllahi Adamu, National Chairman of APC led party’s delegation from the national headquarters Abuja while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Federal High Court Judge, Hon. Justice Yusuf Haladu and Grand Khadi, FCT Sharia Court of Appeal, Grand Khadi Rufai Imam led FCT justices and judges including the Federal High Court Judge, Hon . Justice John Tsoho

The Justice of Supreme Court of Nigeria (SCN)l. Justice Tijani Abubakar led Justices from the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

Governor Babagana Umara Zulum of Borno State was the Wakili (Representative/Marital Guardian) of the Bride, Barrister Aisha Shehu Abubakar, the daughter of Shehu of Borno while Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State was the Wakili (Representative/Marital Guardian) of the Groom, Umaru Farouq Sidi Bage, the Emir of Lafia”s Son.

Governor Abdullahi presented N1 million (one million naira) as dowry to Governor Sule along with kola nuts while the Imam Idaini, Imam Shettima Maman Sale presided over the wedding Fatiha between the bride and the bride groom.

The father of the groom led 29 other traditional rulers from Nasarawa State to witness the wedding Fatiha of his son while the father of the bride pulled a total number of 56 traditional rulers from Borno, Yobe, North East and other parts of the country bringing to an overall total number of 86 traditional rulers across the country that attended the wedding ceremony.
