VP Osinbajo stated this on Thursday while speaking at the Shehu of Borno palace when he paid homage to the royal father, during one day state visit to Borno, State.

The Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has reassured the government and people of Borno State of President Muhammadu Buhari led administration’s continuous support in the development and security of the state.
VP Osinbajo stated this Thursday while speaking at the Shehu of Borno palace when he paid homage to the royal father, during one day state visit to Borno, State.
” I am pleased to be in the state and extend the greetings of President Muhammadu Bujari to the government and people of the state.”
He also appreciated the achievements of Governor Babagana Zulum saying,” it is a special pleasure to be here in Borno. I bring warm greetings from President Muhammadu Buhari who has a special place in his heart for Borno”.
“It’s always exciting to visit Borno. Borno proves how Nigeria can be. I have seen a steady hand of progress right from Kashim Shettima”.
” Zulum proves it is possible to do incredible things with very little. Every time I make speech in reference to Zulum. He is committed and has shown commitment,” Osinbajo said
He further commended Governor Zulum for the great encouragement he is giving to Nigerians and the political class that it is possible to do good things.
The VP said many regulatory authorities of businesses have been provided to Borno to ease business, noting the MSME can give leverage to small businesses to do well.
The Vice President pledged to visit the state again as part of federal Government’s efforts to encourage and boost small and medium scale business men and women while thanking the governor for his hospitality
Prof. Osinbajo recalled that President Buhari inaugurated a committee to manage defectors of Boko Haram, which he said if well manage will end Boko Haram insurgency. He further noted that over 66 thousand Nigerian refugees in Cameroon and many thousands in Chad have been repatriated.
On his part, Governor Zulum solicited for Federal Government’s support in ensuring the repatriation of Borno refugees presently taking refuge in neighboring countries back home.
The governor noted that the presidential committee has raised concerned over the numbers of people in refugee camps and appealed to the Vice President to ensure the refugees are returned home within one year.
Governor Zulum appreciated Prof. Osinbajo for his supports and concern for the Borno State Government during the Boko Haram insurgency.
In his remark, the Shehu of Borno, HRH, Alhaji Abubakar Ibn Umar Garbai El Kanemi thanked the VP for his visit to the state and concern for the people and government of Borno, whenever they experience any terrorist attacks.
The royal father, however, appealed to the Federal Government to resume exploration work at the Lake Chad Basin and provide jobs opportunities for the large unemployed youths in the state.
He pledged continuous support to the Federal Government and policies of President Buhari’s Administration while praying for peace, unity and stability of the the country.
