VeryDarkMan (VDM) and Mr. Jollof
Internet users have gone into full outrage mode following a shocking mid-air brawl between social media firebrand Martins Otse, better known as VeryDarkMan (VDM), and comedian Freedom Atsepoyi, popularly called Mr Jollof.
The pair were captured in a viral video on Monday exchanging punches aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight said to be travelling from Asaba, Delta State, to Lagos. The commotion reportedly disrupted the journey as passengers scrambled to break up the fight. Crew members later removed both men from the aircraft and handed them over to airport security for questioning.
VDM wasted no time confirming the clash on his Facebook page, bragging that he had “dealt with” his longtime rival. In a follow-up clip, he lifted his shirt to reveal bite marks on his chest. “He bite me… man wey dey bite, he no shame,” he said, adding, “I enter plane, I see am. I say, ‘You go slap me today o.’ I go near am, he punch me. He don spoil my tattoo now with him teeth wey he no brush.”
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the altercation has since dominated online conversations, unsurprising given the duo’s history of bitter online spats.
Reactions poured in across social platforms, with many Nigerians unimpressed by the behaviour of the two public figures.
