Police parade 4 thugs for assaulting lady over YouTube post criticizing Borno lawmaker

Borno State Police Commissioner, Abdu Umar has confirmed the arrest of four political thugs who attacked and brutalized a female resident of Maiduguri, Ms. Fadila Abdulrahman at her restaurant situated at Shehu Sanda Kyarimi Park on Sunday evening.

Parading the suspects before the newsmen on Monday at the command’s headquarters in Maiduguri, CP Umar, identified the suspects to include – Bello Musa aka Al-Shabba 24 Yrs, Nasiru Abubakar a.k.a. Mane 22yrs, Mala Mohammed a.k.a Bobby 30yrs and Ali D. Shettima a.k.a Ari 25yrs.

The police commissioner said the suspects were arrested sequel to the directive of Governor Babagana Zulum to security agencies in the state to fish out the perpetrators and make them to face the full wrath of the law.

NATIONAL ACCORD recalled that many residents took to their social media platforms alleging that, the incident was sponsored by Hon Ahmed Satomi, Member Representing Jere Federal Constituency of Borno State after the lady accused him (Satomi) publicly on her facebook wall.

An allegation that the federal lawmaker has since denied and exonerate himself from such act.

In the recorded video which went viral on social media, indicated a leader of the miscreants suspected to be political thugs, who was heard abusing the lady and threatened to kill her if she continue attacking Hon Satomi..

“Be careful. Otherwise, we will waste you,” the leader of the miscreants said.

While in an interview with the victim of the assault, Fadila Abdulrahman at the police headquarters Maiduguri during the press briefing, she told newsmen that,” My name is Fadila Abdulrahman. I am 23 years old and l live in custom area.”

“I was in my shop when these guys came and met me. I don’t know what happened but they said to me that,” they have been sent to me from their boss”, whom I don’t know.

“They slap and beat me severally on the face, head chin, shoulder, back and arms. I beg them and promise such will not happen again but to no avail. I was scare they will kill me because they threaten to finish or clear me. They said they will sweep me away,” Fadila said.

As at the time of going to press, the leader of the miscreants or thugs is at large and on the search by the security agents.
