BREAKING: Security operatives rescue UniAbuja abducted victims

The police in Federal Capital Territory (FCT), announced on Friday that all abducted victims of the university of Abuja have been rescued and reunited with their families.

Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), FCT Command, DSP Josephine Adeh, disclosed this in a statement issued to newsmen in Abuja.

The police also said the feat was achieved through a joint operation with other security agencies.

Recalled that gunmen suspected to be kidnappers have attacked the staff quarters of the University of Abuja (UNIABUJA) in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

During the attack which occurred very early on Tuesday, the assailants abducted six persons, comprising two professors, one senior lecturer, and three of their family members.2620

The Chairman of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), UNIABUJA Chapter, Dr Kassim Umaru, said those abducted were identified as Professor Obansa and his son; Professor Oboscolo, his son and daughters, as well as Dr Tobins.
