The Borno State Government, through the Borno State Emergency Management Agency (BOSEMA), has provided ₦200,000 each to the last batch of refugees who voluntarily returned from Chad.
In addition to financial support, the returnees received essential humanitarian aid, including food and non-food items.
The distribution program took place in Baga, Kukawa Local Government Area as part of the ongoing repatriation exercise aimed at resettling displaced families in their hometowns.
So far, families have returned to Baga, Doro, Koros, Kwauwa, Bandaram, and other communities.
This initiative aligns with Governor Babagana Umara Zulum’s commitment to sustainable resettlement, rebuilding livelihoods, and restoring normalcy in areas affected by insurgency.
While the State has government continued to prioritize security, infrastructure, and basic services to support returnees and ensure long-term stability.
