There was pandemonium on Saturday as two alleged armed robbers were stoned to death by Okada riders at Angwan-Doka, New Nyanya in Karu Local Government Area of Nasarawa state.
According to eye witness, the suspected armed robbers were arrested by the local Vigilante at the late hour of Friday night.
“The suspects were to be handed over to the police when the okada riders got the information of the arrest, rushed in their numbers to the place and stopped the move”.
Their grudges according to the source, who pleaded anonymity, said a member of the Okada riders was a fortnight ago was killed and his motorcycle snatched by the suspected armed robbers.
As at the time of writing this report, the two dead body of the victims were seen lying on the street.
All efforts to reach the members of the vigilante group proved abortive as they went on hiding from the possible arrest by the police.
