The Benue chapter of the Sports Writers’ Association of Nigeria (SWAN) has hailed the board of Lobi Stars led by Dr. Philip Nongu on the appointment of ex-Super Eagles player Daniel Amokachi as the new Technical Adviser of the club.
A statement by SWAN Electoral Committee Chairman and Secretary Terkula Atom and Uche Nnorom respectively, noted that the appointment of Amokachi ‘the Bull’ as he is fondly called, to head the technical department of Lobi is a right step in the direction.
According to the statement the committee posited that with his pedigree as former assistant coach of the Super Eagles, coach of Ifeanyi Uba and Nasarawa United, his has vast knowledge of Nigerian league and can deliver on the job.
SWAN charged the new Technical Adviser to bring his worth of experience back home to put smile on the faces of Lobi Stars fans.
The association urged him to complement the efforts of the sporting loving Governor, Hyacinth Alia and redeem the image of the club.
