T.90 wins Senator Sandy Onor football tournament in Cross River

The T .90 Football Club has defeated Nkwa Football Club of Calabar South by three goals to nothing at the Grand Finale of the 2022 Megameg football tournament held at Atu Field by Main Avenue.

The Megameg football tournament is organized and sponsored by a sports enthusiast, Commrade Margaret Onen a former student of Professor Sandy Onor at the University of Calabar.

Speaking after the tournament, Mrs. Onen said the football event is geared towards discovering and harnessing talent for optimal utilization in honour of Senator Sandy Onor and Lady Emana Duke Ambrose Amawhe, the deputy governorship candidate of the People’s Democratic party (PDP).

She also disclosed that 24 teams participated in the tournament for six weeks, leading to the emergence first and second runner’s up.

A cash price of N250,000 was awarded to the first and second runners respectively.

While presenting the cash price to the winner, the Deputy Governorship candidate of PDP, Lady Emma Duke Amawhe , who represented Senator Sandy Onor, commended the sponsor for her passion in sports.
