The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Taraba State has inaugurated a 16-man committee to address the intra party grievances and restructure the party membership system.
Taraba State PDP Chairman, Abubakar Bawal, inaugurated the committee at the party’s secretariat amidst a mammoth crowd in Jalingo, the state’s capital. The event was attended by different party loyalists.
Speaking with journalists after the inauguration, the chairman of the committee, who was the former Senator and the Taraba State elder statesman, Sen. Zik Sunday, said Taraba State has been ruled by the PDP as a political party since the returned of democracy in Nigeria 24 years ago.
Zik stressed that, the committee is ready to deliver by contacting the aggrieved members, especially those who left the party base on injustice, conflict of interest or for the purpose of seeking political leadership.
He stated that the strategies to win the heart of the deserted members are already on top gear to ensure that all issues relating to the crisis in the party are effectively tackled.
Zik described the attitude of the aggrieved and deserted members as a family anger which is subject for addressing.
