President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has arrived in Lagos to usher in the Yuletide season, marking a festive return to the city he once governed.
The President touched down at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport on Saturday evening, following official visits to Bauchi and Borno states.
He was warmly received by Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, alongside other top government officials.
Adding colour and excitement to the moment, a cultural dance troupe welcomed the President with vibrant performances, setting a celebratory tone for his stay in the nation’s commercial capital.
According to presidential spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, President Tinubu is expected to take part in a series of social and cultural activities during the holidays, including the iconic Eyo Festival.
The President will also receive dignitaries from across the country who are scheduled to pay him homage throughout the festive period.
Tinubu’s presence in Lagos for the end-of-year celebrations has further heightened the holiday atmosphere, as residents look forward to a season marked by tradition, unity and goodwill.
