President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Friday held a closed-door meeting with the Governor of Kaduna State, Senator Uba Sani, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to review the prevailing security situation in the state.
The meeting centered on recent security developments, particularly the successful rescue of worshippers who were abducted on January 18, 2026, from churches in Kurmin Wali community, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Governor Sani briefed the President on the coordinated operations carried out by state and federal security agencies, which culminated in the safe release of the victims over the past week.

He outlined the strategies deployed during the joint operations and reaffirmed the state government’s commitment to working closely with national security institutions to tackle insecurity.
The governor also updated President Tinubu on ongoing efforts to strengthen security across vulnerable communities in Kaduna State, stressing the importance of sustained collaboration between all levels of government to prevent future attacks and protect lives and property.
The meeting underscores the Federal Government’s continued focus on addressing security challenges nationwide, with particular attention to states affected by banditry and kidnapping.
