Tiv Youths Organisations (TYO) has taken moves aimed at protecting Tiv land which they said was an inheritance from their fore fathers.

The President General informed that difficult decisions have to go with difficult situations as the only sure way of recording success which he believed would be in the interest of the Tiv race.

Anza lamented that Tiv people were slowly becoming slaves in their land even as thousands of Tiv people were in Internally Displaced Persons, IDPs, camps and charged them to be courageous enough to unite and work toward ensuring the return of the IDPs to their ancestral homes.

He noted with displeasure that farming season was approaching and the Tiv people were surrounded by enemies both outside and within and there was need to use wisdom with which to surmount the enemy for the betterment of the Tiv nation.

While emphasizing the capability of the youths in nation building, the TYO President General who noted that the Tiv people were many but not all of them would be ready to partake in the fight for the freedom of the Tiv man, emphasized that the youths were the strength of the Tiv people.

He urged the Coordinators in charge of the fourteen local government areas in Tiv land to redouble their efforts in defending Tiv land, so that the Tiv people would no longer be slaves in their land.

At the ceremony, Barr. M.S. Kwaghtyo, formally swore in the coordinators of the local government areas in Tiv land.

Responding on behalf of the coordinators, Terseer Neeryum from Katsina Ala local government, appreciated the TYO for the offer to serve and promised not to disappoint TYO and the Tiv nation in general.
