U.S. president Trump takes coronavirus test, awaits result 

EHIME ALEX, Lagos 

United States President, Donald Trump, has taken a coronavirus test on Friday night, CNN reports.

President Trump is said to has announced this on Saturday at a press conference.

The U.S. president further said that he did not know the results yet and that it usually takes 1-2 days.

Before coming out to the White House press briefing room on Saturday, Trump was quoted to has said that he had his temperature taken,  and later when asked how it was, he said it was normal.

The heat for Trump to take the coronavirus test had started after he came into contact with a Brazilian press aide who was diagnosed Thursday with coronavirus.

This leads to the fact the Trump has been exposed to coronavirus, and needed to take the test. (with additional report from CNN)
