The Vice President-elect, Kashim Shettima, has cast his vote in the ongoing governorship and House of Assembly elections.
Shettima performed the civic right at his Lawan Kukawa polling unit (PU 023) in Lamisula ward, in the state capital of Borno State, Maiduguri.
Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum of All Progressive Congress (APC) Borno State is seeking reelection for a second term.
The incumbent governor is fighting to retain his seat against Mohammed Jajari of People Democratic Party (PDP) and the Labor Party candidate, Captain Ibrahim Mshelia Kadafir (Rtd).
While Borno State Deputy Governor H.E Umar Kadafur performed his civic duty at 001 polling unit,Bulama Fori MBulamel, Zarawuyaku ward Biu Local Government at the ongoing governorship and house of Assembly elections.

In an interview with pressmen the deputy governor noted that the atmosphere was calm and peaceful, and that the turnout of voters was quite impressive.
He urged the electorate across Biu to continue to conduct themselves calmly and peacefully as they go on with the electoral process.
