
Major General Taoreed Lagbaja speaks to journalists
PATRICK ABANG, Calabar –
The General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Major General Taoreed Lagbaja has warned officer and men of 82 division that no act of indiscipline will be tolerated in the Nigeria Army as its mark the end of 2021 West African Social Activities (WASA) and the beginning of 2022.
Maj. Gen. Lagbaja gave the warning at 13 Brigade of the Nigerian Army Calabar, Cross River State on Sunday after inspecting the various stand displayed by the Army.
He charged the Army to display the highest form of professionalism in the coming weeks as they head towards 2022.
The GOC also commended the frontline troops for their sacrifices to the nation, stressing that their efforts would not be in vain.
Maj. Gen Lagbaja, who was represented by the Commanding Officer, Amphibious Training School Calabar, Frank Etim disclosed that the activity was an annual event in the Nigerian Army.
Earlier in his welcome remarks, the Commander 13 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Major General Everest Okoro said the performance of last year by the various unites is a testimony of the commitment of officer and men of the brigade including their friends and family.
According to the Brigade Commander, WASA is an age long military tradition to ehuch was organized to display various social and cultural activities by unites.
He said the celebration has become an annual event where families and friends come together.
Highlight of the ceremony was the presentation certificates to officers and men of 13 Brigade who distinguished themselves during the outgoing year.
