
Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum

Borno State Governor Babagana Zulum has redeemed his pledge of N68 million naira support funds to the member of National Automobile and Technical Association (NATA) in the state chapter.
The state Chairman of NATA, Engineer Hussain Musa, who disclosed this to newsmen on Thursday in Maiduguri, said the funds have been paid to the 1250 members’ account within Maiduguri Metropolitan Council (MMC), Konduga and Jere LGAs.
Engr. Musa recalled that Governor Zulum has earlier pledged to give each member of the State Executive Committee (SEC) N50,000 as cash support, while he promised to give the state chairman N1 million, vice chairman N750,000, state secretary N500,000, financial secretary N300,000 and all the remaining 15 exco members N250,000 each.
“it is only the NATA members outside the state capital, Maiduguri city that are yet to get their payments as a result of delayed in the issue of bank procedures, but in two weeks time, their payment must have been concluded”, he said.
According to him, the state governor has directed the ministry in charge of the project to allocated more plots to the NATA members at the newly constructed automobile mechanical workshops site , popularly known as Mechanics Village located at Molai along Damboa-Biu road
He therefore appreciated the Borno State Government for providing additional facilities at the Mechanic Village.
The NATA Chairman assured the state governor of the association’s continuous support, cooperation and loyalty of the members to his administration.
“We have declared support to Governor Zulum’s administration and his four plus four continuity project for the purpose of delivery of more dividends of democracy to the people at all the nooks and crannies of the state that have direct bearing on the living condition of the people immensely.
“Without any iota of doubt, Borno Sate has never had a suitable and hardworking governor like Governor Zulum. Since his assumption to office, Zulum has tremendously delivered and people wish he should continue to deliver more dividends of democracy”, he said.
