Borno State Governor, Babagana Zulum has expressed satisfaction with the large turnout of voters who came to exercise their civic duties in Saturday’s Local Government elections in the state.
Governor Zulum spoke on Saturday shortly after casting his vote at Ajari unit 006 in Mafa town, the headquarters of Mafa Local Government Area of the state.
He also commended the Borno State Independent Electoral Commission (BOSIEC) for the timely commencement of the exercise.
“I am highly delighted with the process,” Governor Zulum said, urging the people to conduct themselves peacefully throughout the exercise for a successful outcome.
With a peaceful conduct of the elections, Governor Zulum emphasized the importance of maintaining peace and order, ensuring a successful exercise.
The governor’s confidence in the process and the impressive voter turnout indicate a positive democratic engagement in Borno State.
“The residents’ active participation in the elections demonstrates their commitment to contributing to local governance and strengthening democracy at the grassroots level,” Zulum said.
