The National Publicity Secretary, Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), Bishop Dr Emmah Isong has warned electorates in the country not to allow monetary inducement determine their choice of candidate for the 2023 general elections
Dr. Isong gave the warning while filing questions from journalists shortly after concluding the early morning walk sports exercise organised by Christian Central Chapel International CCCI a.k.a Faith Mansion World Headquarters on Monday in Calabar.
He urged those having the mindset of getting money from politicians to desist from such so that they do not sell their conscience for peanuts.
“Once you collect money from any politician, you are bound to do his bidding”.
“Elections are not avenues to make money but an avenue whereby citizens of the country have opportunity to select those who will rule them”. He said.
He urged those who were yet to obtain their Permanent Voters Cards PVCs to do everything within their reach to obtain the PVCs which are the prequisite to electing the nation’s leaders.
“Voters card is one means of identification. Avoid a mind set of using the election to make money”. Isong maintained.
On the importance of exercise, Coach Catherine Ekuta Oly stated that most of the ailments troubling residents of the state would have been dealt with by exercising the body.
“The issue of hypertension, High Blood Pressure (HBP) and several other ailments which are associated with lack of exercise would have been a thing of the past”. She stated.
The Olympian Judo 2004 medal holder averred that lack of exercise leads to body cramps irrespective of gender or age, while calling on regular exercise so as to keep fit.
