Sen. Aliyu Wamakko (APC-Sokoto North) has appealed to the All Progressives Congress (APC) supporters in Sokoto State to sustain rancour free politics ahead of the 2023 general elections in the state.
Wamakko in a statement issued to newsmen on Saturday in Sokoto by Malam Bashar Abubakar, his Special Assistant on Media, called on APC supporters to play politics without bitterness.
The senator, according to the statement, made the appeal while addressing the party supporters at his residence in Sokoto.
He called on them not to carry any weapon during campaign rallies, stressing that doing so contravenes the guidelines of APC’s manifesto.
“The campaign rallies had commenced and there is the need for all party supporters to abide by the rules of the game.
“You should all desist from tampering with any political signpost of other political parties in the state,” he said.
The lawmaker further called on the APC members to sustain more prayers for the victory of the party at all levels during the 2023 polls. (NAN)
