Youths from Kogi State have donated ₦100 million in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, signalling strong confidence in his leadership ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The donation was formally presented during a visit to the national headquarters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abuja, with the delegation led by Kogi State Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo.
The group was received by the APC National Chairman, Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda, during a brief ceremony at the party’s secretariat.
Speaking at the event, Governor Ododo described the donation as a strong demonstration of grassroots support for President Tinubu, especially among young Nigerians. He said the gesture reflects the confidence of Kogi youths in the President’s vision and reform agenda.
> “This contribution by our youths clearly demonstrates their belief in President Tinubu’s leadership and their readiness to support him for another term,” Governor Ododo said. “It sends a strong message that the people of Kogi State stand firmly with him.”
In his remarks, the APC National Chairman praised the youths for what he called a patriotic and voluntary initiative. He noted that the donation highlights the increasing political awareness and participation of young Nigerians and reassures the party of its future strength.
He further stated that, with the ₦100 million contribution, there would be no need for additional donations for the President’s nomination form.
The funds have been earmarked specifically for the purchase of the APC presidential nomination form ahead of the 2027 elections.
Representatives of the Kogi youths explained that the money was raised through community-based contributions and fundraising activities. They said the effort was driven by widespread support for President Tinubu’s policies on infrastructure development, security, and economic growth.
The APC leadership expressed appreciation for the gesture and reaffirmed its commitment to inclusive governance and greater youth participation in national development.
