The Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF) has awarded medals to 33 outgoing Military Staff Officers (MSOs) from Chad, Cameroon, and Nigeria.
The ceremony took place on Monday, 29 July, 2024, at the MNJTF Headquarters in Farcha, Ndjamena, Chad.
Force Commander, Major General Ibrahim Sallau Ali presided over the event and commended the officers for their commitment and professionalism.
A statement issued and signed by Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, the Chief Military Public Information Officer, HQ MNJTF, Ndjamena Chad Republic on Monday and made available to newsmen in Maiduguri, said the force commander expressed gratitude for their contributions to enhancing regional security.
Major General Ali wished the officers success in their future assignments, emphasizing that their experience and dedication will benefit them in their new roles.
Among the honorees was the MNJTF spokesperson, Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi, who will be succeeded by Lieutenant Colonel Olabanji Osoba. Olabanji is expected to continue managing the MNJTF Military Public Information Office effectively.
Colonel Ndzana Fouda, one of the outgoing MSOs in his vote of thanks, expressed appreciation for the Force Commander’s leadership and pledged that the officers would remain good ambassadors of the MNJTF.
