Newly appointed General Manager of Kano Pillars FC, Ahmed Musa
Newly appointed General Manager of Kano Pillars FC, Ahmed Musa, has pledged to revive the club’s glory days with a comprehensive agenda designed to restore its past successes.
Speaking at a news briefing at the Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, Musa emphasized the importance of private sector involvement and support from fans and sponsors.
“We are going for the trophy this time around,” Musa declared. “I come with an agenda to revive the glory of the club and I urge Kano sports lovers to fully support us.”
He expressed confidence in the team’s potential, saying that with unity, discipline, and determination, Kano Pillars will rise again.
Musa highlighted the need for private sector involvement, stating that the club cannot rely solely on government funding.
“With the support of our fans and sponsors, we can achieve more,” he said.
“We are already reaching out to companies for sponsorship. Very soon, we will get it right.”
The Super Eagles captain acknowledged the challenges of combining his role as General Manager with being an active player, but expressed confidence in managing both tasks effectively.
“Inside the pitch, I’m a player and the coach has full authority over me. But outside the pitch, I’m the General Manager. The roles are clearly defined,” he explained.
Musa assured supporters that preparations are underway to avoid the disappointments of last season and affirmed his commitment to giving every player a fair chance to contribute.
“We have started implementing changes. This is a team effort and with unity, discipline, and determination, Pillars will rise again,” he said.
