Jigawa Hisbah Board has destroyed 400 cartons of seized alcohol valued at N5.8 million in Kazaure Local Government Area.
The operation, led by the Chairman of Kazaure, Alhaji Mansur Dabuwa, aimed to enforce the state’s prohibition on alcohol consumption.
The seized alcoholic drinks were confiscated during raids on bars in the area.
The Hisbah Commander, Malam Ibrahim Dahiru, emphasized that the board would continue to fight immoral acts, including alcohol consumption, to maintain the state’s moral fabric.
Dahiru urged residents to support the board with vital information to enable effective enforcement.
He also advised residents to desist from engaging in vices and immoral acts that could harm society.
The destruction of the seized alcohol demonstrates the Hisbah Board’s commitment to enforcing state laws and regulations.
The board’s efforts aim to promote a morally upright society and protect the well-being of residents.
