
Nigerian First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu

Wife of President Bola Tinubu, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has extended a helping hand to victims of natural disasters in Niger State.
Through her Renewed Hope Initiative (RHI), she donated N1 billion to support those affected by floods, fire outbreaks, boat accidents, and banditry attacks.
Mrs. Tinubu expressed her condolences to the families of the bereaved, saying, “These are indeed challenging times, but I pray that Almighty God comforts the bereaved families, heals the injured, and strengthens all those affected.”
She acknowledged the swift response of the Federal Government in disbursing funds and relief materials to the affected persons.
The First Lady commended Governor Mohammed Bago for his prompt action in supporting displaced families with funds and grains.
She stated, “In support of the rebuilding efforts of the Niger State Government, the Governing Council of the Renewed Hope Initiative is donating the sum of N1 billion, along with relief materials including clothes, shoes, and 2,000 bags of 50kg rice to the state.”
Mrs. Tinubu emphasized the importance of compassion, saying, “The strength of a nation is in its compassion in moments of pain. People should learn to be compassionate to one another.”
She expressed gratitude to President Tinubu for approving the immediate release of funds and food items to assist in the recovery effort.
The donated funds will be directed towards housing support and essential supplies to help displaced families recover.
Mrs. Tinubu noted, “This is in line with the objective of the Renewed Hope Initiative as contained in our motto ‘Towards a Better Life for Families’.”
Governor Bago appreciated President Tinubu and his wife for their support, acknowledging the impact it would have on the lives of the affected individuals.
The donation is a testament to the Tinubus’ commitment to supporting those in need.
As the people of Niger State begin to rebuild their lives, Mrs. Tinubu’s gesture serves as a beacon of hope.
“May God comfort you and grant eternal rest to the souls of the departed,” she prayed, echoing the sentiments of a nation united in compassion.
