
CP Rose Chollom Dung, is the 32nd Commissioner of Police, Special Fraud Unit, Lagos

Special Fraud Unit (SFU) in Lagos has a new Commissioner of Police, as Mrs. Rose Dung assumes duty as the 32nd CP.
A statement issued by the unit’s spokesperson, DSP Ovie Ewhubare, said Dung’s appointment follows the promotion of her predecessor, AIG Okunade Ronke.
With over three decades of experience in the Nigeria Police Force, Dung brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her new role.
“I’m grateful to the Inspector-General of Police for this opportunity, and I assure him that we’ll continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism,” Dung said.
A native of Owan West Local Government Area of Edo State, Dung holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Sociology from Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma.
She was appointed into the police force in 1992 and has served in various capacities across different commands and formations.
Dung’s impressive career trajectory includes stints as Divisional Police Officer in Ogun State, Commandant of the Police Training School in Iperu, and Commissioner of Police in charge of Welfare at the Nigeria Police Force Headquarters in Abuja.
As she settles into her new role, Dung is calling on the public and stakeholders to sustain their support for the SFU.
“We need the cooperation of everyone to effectively deliver our mandate,” she emphasized.
With her membership in the International Association of Chiefs of Police and International Association of Women Police, Dung is well-equipped to tackle the challenges of her new role.
Her dedication and commitment to justice are evident in her words: “We’ll continue to work tirelessly to uphold the rule of law and protect the public.”
