The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Retail Limited has taken swift action against fraudulent practices at one of its filling stations in Ikorodu, Lagos State, dismissing a pump attendant and suspending the station manager for attempting to deceive a customer.
The decisive measures underscore the company’s commitment to maintaining high standards of integrity and service.
In a statement released on Friday, August 8, 2025, NNPC Retail Limited addressed a viral video circulating on social media that exposed a pump attendant’s attempt to shortchange a customer.
Following a detailed investigation, the company confirmed the incident occurred at its Ikorodu station. “Such behavior is utterly unacceptable and does not align with our values of transparency and exceptional customer service,” the statement declared.
The company outlined its response, stating, “In line with our sanction grid, the pump attendant has been disengaged, the station manager has been suspended, and a formal warning letter has been issued to the dealer.”
These actions reflect NNPC Retail’s zero-tolerance policy toward misconduct and its commitment to upholding operational standards across its network.
