In a vibrant display of unity, All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders in Bauchi Local Government Area have pledged their unwavering support for Senator Shehu Buba as their gubernatorial candidate for the 2027 election, aiming to wrest control from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
At a well-attended rally held over the weekend in Bauchi, party loyalists and supporters converged to demonstrate solidarity and strategize for the upcoming electoral battle.
Alhaji Mohammed Danmaliki, head of the Organising Forum, emphasized the urgency of a cohesive APC front to steer Bauchi toward progress.
“The moment is ripe for us to come together and elevate our state with transformative leadership,” he declared, as quoted by the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Danmaliki highlighted Senator Buba’s impactful tenure in the Bauchi South Senatorial District, spanning Alkaleri, Bauchi, Bogoro, Dass, Tafawa Balewa, Kirfi, and Toro LGAs.
“From providing clean water and creating jobs for youths to building roads and funding education and healthcare, Senator Buba has shown he’s dedicated to our people’s welfare,” he noted.
Sabo Mohammed, a member of the planning sub-committee, underscored Buba’s widespread appeal, stating, “His influence reaches far beyond his district, making him a key figure to galvanize support across Bauchi’s 20 Local Government Areas.”
Hussaini Wunti, another prominent APC figure, lambasted the PDP administration for its perceived neglect of small businesses and local growth.
“With Senator Buba at the helm, we’re confident in restoring prosperity and optimism to Bauchi,” he asserted.
Jibrin Jibrin, a stakeholder, rallied residents to back Buba, describing him as “a leader with the vision to break the cycle of underdevelopment.”
Grassroots representatives from Zungur, Galambi, and Miri vowed to mobilize extensively to secure an APC victory in 2027.
The stakeholders framed their endorsement of Buba as the launch of a dynamic campaign to return the APC to Bauchi’s Government House, promising a renewed era of development for the state. (NAN)
