
Former Customs boss, Late Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Mustapha

Former Comptroller-General of the Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Alhaji Ahmad Aliyu Mustapha, is dead.
Alhaji Mustapha, who was also the Sardauna Adamawa, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025, in Abuja.
He was 76 years old.
Reacting to the news of his demise, President Bola Tinubu expressed deep sadness over Mustapha’s death, describing it as a significant loss to the nation.
In a statement issued by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu mourned the late traditional leader, highlighting his remarkable contributions to the Nigerian Customs Service and his impactful service to Adamawa State.
“President Tinubu acknowledges the deceased’s contributions to the growth and development of the Nigerian Customs Service and immense services to his Adamawa homestate, saying he will be sorely missed by all,” the statement read.
The President extended his condolences to the Adamawa Emirate Council, the government, and the people of Adamawa State.
He also prayed for the repose of Mustapha’s soul, saying, “He prays to Almighty Allah to grant the soul of the late Alhaji Mustapha Alijanna Firdaus.”
