
Police Service Commission (PSC) has announced that physical and credential screening for candidates seeking recruitment into the Nigeria Police Force as Constables would commence on 9th March 2026 and run through 18th April 2026 across the country.
A statement issued by the commission’s spokesman, Torty Njoku Kalu, on Wednesday confirmed that all applicants who successfully completed the online registration are required to check their status on the recruitment portal npfapplication.psc.gov.ng and print the necessary documents to present at the screening venue on the date and time indicated in their Invitation Slip.
Applicants according to the statement must present the following documents during screening:
1. Invitation Slip with assigned table
2. Credential Screening Form
3. Original National Identity Number (NIN) printout or card issued by National Identity Management Commission (NIMC)
4. O’ Level (GCE/SSCE) Certificate
5. Birth Certificate or Declaration of Age
6. LGA/State of Origin Certificate
7. Trade Test/Certificate (for Specialist roles)
8. Duly completed and signed Guarantors Form with photocopies and passport photographs of referees
9. Original and duplicate copies of all credentials, neatly packaged in two separate white flat files with recent passport photographs attached
Applicants are expected to appear at their designated screening venues wearing white canvas shoes, white T-shirts, white shorts, and white stockings. Screening locations will be specified in the Invitation Slip.
The Chairman of the PSC, DIG Hashimu Salihu Argungu (rtd), mni, emphasized that the recruitment exercise is completely free of charge.
He reassured applicants that the process will adhere strictly to principles of transparency and accountability.
He further cautioned applicants to beware of online impostors, scammers, and criminal elements who may attempt to exploit the recruitment process.
“Anyone found wanting will be arrested and prosecuted,” the Chairman warned.
He urged all applicants to comply fully with the guidelines to ensure a smooth screening process
