NNPC Foundation Ltd/Gte., the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of NNPC Ltd., in partnership with the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), has continued its nationwide Financial Literacy Programme aimed at equipping young Nigerians with essential financial management and entrepreneurial skills.
Speaking during the Batch B, Stream 2 of the programme held at the FCT NYSC Orientation Camp, in Kubwa, Abuja, over the weekend, the Acting Managing Director of the NNPC Foundation, Euginia Dominion, urged participants to leverage the opportunity to build sound financial knowledge and establish sustainable businesses.
Dominion highlighted the programme’s impact since its commencement in 2023 with Kudimata Nigeria Limited serving as the consultant, noting that 531 successful participants received business grants and starter packs in May 2025 following a competitive assessment of their business proposals.
The FCT NYSC Coordinator, Samson Ateli, commended NNPC Limited for the initiative, stressing that the programme has positively transformed the mindset of corps members by promoting financial prudence, self-reliance and entrepreneurship.
With more than 1.3 million corps members already trained, the Financial Literacy Programme is helping to bridge the gap in financial knowledge among Nigerian youths while creating pathways to entrepreneurship and job creation. The initiative demonstrates the NNPC Foundation’s commitment to youth empowerment and its broader contribution to Nigeria’s economic growth by preparing young Nigerians to become financially responsible citizens, entrepreneurs and employers of labour.
