
Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia
Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has approved the establishment of a Made-in-Nigeria programme office in the state and appointed a coordinating team.
A statement by the Technical Adviser to the Benue State Governor on Media, Publicity and Strategic Communication, Chief Solomon Iorpev said the office would “serve as the State structured platform to translate the Made in Nigeria agenda into bankable projects, measurable jobs and industrial expansion, aligned with the Benue State Development Plan 2025 – 2034.”
The statement revealed that the Programme Office which would be “coordinated by the Office of the Secretary to the State Government with technical support from the Benue Investment Promotion Agency and the Bureau for International Cooperation and Development would be responsible for the coordination of the State level implementation of the Made in Nigeria agenda, packaging and promotion of agro-industrial and manufacturing investments, supporting SMEs to meet quality and market standards; among other responsibilities.”
According to the statement, those appointed as the coordinating team of the programme office in the State include, Orduen Ikon (Oddy Woods) State Coordinator, Michael Ogwuche, Barr Ori Onum, Bennet Abul, and Michael Shenge. are members.
Other members include; Dr. Terese Akpen, Fidelis Adasu, Joseph Spitz Igomu and Jamal Mshelia.
The governor, who wished the team well, encouraged them to put in their best to make the state proud.
