APC National Chairman, Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda
National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, is set to flag off Renewed Hope rally in support of the achievements of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
Similarly, the National Chairman is expected during the rally on Thursday to receive some state and national assembly members who recently decamped to APC in Nasarawa State.
This was disclosed by the Secretary to the Nasarawa State Government (SSG), Barrister Labaran Magaji, SAN, who is the Renewed Hope Ambassador of Nasarawa State, on Tuesday in his office in Lafia.
“We have extended our invitation to the National Chairman of APC, who is also going to honor us with his presence and taking advantage of the event to receive all the decampee. This and many other side events are going to take place at the rally” he said.
Magaji, further, disclosed that Local Government Coordinators of the Renewed Hope, in the state who were duly appointed, would be inaugurated by the National Chairman of APC.
According to him, 15,000 (fifteen thousand) persons from across the 13 local government and 18 development areas of the state have been mobilised in conjunction with council chairmen to stage the rally in the state capital.
He also said the most important part of the event is to express appreciation to Mr. President and encourage him to continue the good work he is doing, and to also appreciate Governor Sule, for the prudent management of the resources available in the States.
“As the State Coordinator of the Renewed Hope Ambassador, I started consultation, having viewed the activities and the performances of His Excellency, President Bola Tinubu to Nigerians, and particularly Nasarawa State, and also the performance of His Excellency, our own leader, Engineer Abdullah Sule, fellow Nigerian Society of Engineers, and the Commander of the Order of Niger, here in Nasarawa State”
“Through the various reforms, agenda of Mr. President, especially with the removal of oil subsidies, and the introduction of many other social interventions, ranging from student loans and others, together with the growing number of infrastructures across all sectors, it is important that we, the beneficiaries, I mean, particularly the inhabitants of Nasarawa State, will come together and say thank you to these two real gems, the President, Bola Tinubu and His Excellency, Engineer Abdullahi Sule”
“And the fact that all of us cannot have access to either the State House or the Government House, that is a way we will express our appreciation in solidarity with what they are doing. And by that, we have reached a consensus by all the like-minds that Nasarawa State citizens are going to converge in Lafia, on Thursday 12 February 2026, and stage a solidarity rally that will collapse at the city centre in Lafia Square, where the entire people of Nasarawa State are going to be addressed on the effects and the impact of the leadership of President Tinubu and Vice-President Shetima, and of course, our mentor, the Governor of Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullah Sule” he said.
On his part, Nasarawa State Commissioner for Local Government, Chieftaincy Affairs and Community Development, Muazu Maifata, disclosed that people in the rural areas are coming to the rally in droves in appreciation of President Tinubu and Governor Sule.
“As such, they are going to come in droves, to participate in the rally. Persons from all the 147 wards in the state said they will not be left behind.
“They agreed, and they have started making contributions themselves. So it is not a state-funded, local government-funded event, but contributions from the people right from the grassroots to the state level”
“And if you see the eagerness in them, you will know that yes, each and every person at the grassroots is happy with the administration of His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu and our dear Governor, the Engineer of Modern Nasarawa State, Engineer Abdullahi Sule” he said.
