APC chieftain mobilises members to get PVC

A chieftain of the All Progressivs Congress (APC) in Masaka, Karu LGA of Nasarawa state, Alhaji Salihu Aramu has called on members of the public to visit any of the polling units to revalidate their voters’ card to enable them vote for APC candidates in the forth coming elections.

Alhaji Aramu, who is the state chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Nasarawa State chapter gave the advice yesterday when he hosted members of the party in his office in Masaka.

He informed the people that the revalidation of voters card by INEC is still ongoing and people who registered in other polling units are free to go and change to their new area where they are residing.

Alhaji Salihu, Aramu who is the Tafidan Masaka promised to support them with funds especially to those who would have challenges of transportation cost.

He announced that the electoral body has increased the number of polling units in the area from two to twenty, while stressing the need for them to come out in their thousands to revalidate their voters card so that ballot papers sent to the polling units would not be wasted.

Briefing party supporters on the just concluded ward congresses of the party, Mr. Adamu told them to remain calm and wait for directives from Governor Abdulahi Sule, who is the leader of APC in the state and would convey the decision to them as soon as new development unfolds

Earlier, a member of the party in Masaka, Mallam Ibrahim Umar Zulu who opened the meeting with the Muslim prayers told the meeting that they want to kick the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) out of Masaka, while soliciting for the needed support and cooperation from the chairman.

Others who spoke at the meeting including Hajiya Talatu, who is the woman leader, Kabiru Was and Yahaya Mandaki both expressed happiness for the meeting as it affords them the opportunity to go and change their voters card to their new places of residence.

They promised to go out and mobilise residents of Masaka to come out and participate in the revalidation exercise and thanked INEC for increasing more units for them.
