All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State celebrated a landslide victory in Saturday’s Local Government elections, securing all 57 chairmanship seats and 375 of 376 councillorship positions.
Speaking during the presentation of Certificates of Return by the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC), APC Lagos Chairman, Pastor Cornelius Ojelabi, attributed the success to the party’s hard work and the trust of Lagos residents.
“We thank the people of Lagos for their belief in our party.
“We worked diligently for this victory and are grateful for God’s strength and the people’s support,” he said.
Ojelabi assured residents that the APC would honor its campaign promises, with elected officials committed to meeting expectations across all councils.
He emphasized that the party has mechanisms to monitor its officials to ensure meaningful contributions to Lagos’ development.
“By God’s grace, we shall deliver,” he stated.
Praising LASIEC, Ojelabi hailed the election as a successful and historic exercise that truly reflected the will of the people.
