Former EFCC Chairman, Farida Waziri, has paid heartfelt tribute to the late President Muhammadu Buhari, reflecting on his profound impact on her life and Nigeria.
In a condolence message delivered in Abuja on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, Waziri mourned Buhari’s passing, noting it has deeply touched millions nationwide.
She described Buhari as a symbol of discipline, incorruptibility, and unwavering truth, whose life serves as a reminder that true legacy lies in steadfast values.
“From his days as a military leader to his presidency, Buhari’s commitment to fighting corruption never wavered,” Waziri said, praising his resolute pursuit of integrity despite challenges.
Waziri highlighted Buhari’s personal integrity, stating, “He lived modestly, acted justly, and held himself to a higher standard.”
She expressed gratitude for his principled actions, particularly his role in rectifying her rightful retirement rank as Assistant Inspector General of Police—an act she said exemplified his character.
“President Buhari’s moral strength and anti-corruption crusade will inspire generations,” Waziri said.
“May history honor him as a soldier, statesman, and man of integrity, and may his soul rest in peace.” She added.
