
Cross River State Governor, Ben Ayade
PATRICK ABANG, Calabar –
Cross River State Governor Ben Ayade has commended some Local Government Councils chairmen, who are adjudged to be amongst the most performing chairmen in the state.
Governor Ayade gave the commendation in an event that took place at the state executive council chambers, Governor’s Office after first quarter assessment of their performance.
Based on the outcome of the assessment, the chairman of Ikom Local Government Council, Hon. Kingsley Egumi was rated the number one performing chairman.
The second position went to the chairman of Obudu Local Government Area, Hon. Boniface Eraye Ewhe.
Yala Local Government chairman, Hon. Fabian Odey Ogbeche came third, while the fourth position went to the Chairman of Ogoja Local Government, Hon. Emmanuel Ishabor.
The Chairman of Obanliku, Abi and Bakassi Local Government Areas, Hon. Margaret Indie, Hon. Farathor Robinson, Hon. Iyadim Amboni Iyadim respectively, jointly occupied the fifth position.
The quarterly performance assessment was introduced by the state government to engender development at the local government level.
