Barcelona have confirmed the signing of 18 year old winger Jesse Bisiwu from Club Brugge in a deal worth €8.5 million.
The youngster has signed a contract until June 2031, with Club Brugge also securing a 20 percent sell on clause as part of the agreement.
The move is the latest sign that Barcelona remain committed to building around young talent.
Rather than entering the market for established stars, the Spanish giants have continued to invest in players they believe can become the backbone of the club for years to come.
Bisiwu arrives with a growing reputation after impressing at Club Brugge, where his pace, direct running and confidence in one on one situations made
him one of the club’s brightest young prospects.
Club Brugge’s decision to retain a 20 percent sell on clause also points to the belief that the winger’s value could rise sharply if he fulfils his potential in Spain.
For Barcelona, the signing is another investment in tomorrow, with Bisiwu now set to begin the next chapter of his career at Camp Nou.
