The Bauchi State Chairman of the Nigerian Legion, Warrant Officer Idris Danjuma Ningi retired on Sunday decorated the State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Mohammed Auwal Jatau with the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Tag.
Shortly after the decoration, Auwal Jatau appreciated legionnaires for protecting and preserving the territorial integrity of the country as well as its survival as a single indivisible entity through their sacrifices during the world wars, the Nigerian Civil War and other wars.
To this end, the Deputy Governor said to appreciate their sacrifices, there is need for Nigerians to always donate generously so as to contribute towards improving the welfare of members of the Nigerian Legion.
Auwal Jatau reassured that the present administration of Governor Bala Mohammed will continue in making effort to ensure the comfort of the legionnaires and their families by engaging them in gainful employment in addition to other poverty alleviation schemes.
The State chairman of the Nigeria Legion, Warrant Officer Idris Danjuma Ningi, retired has once again expressed gratitude to the administration of Governor Bala Mohammed for his outstanding support to the chapter for the welfare and well-being of members.
