
Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has sacked five Commissioners from his cabinet, and sent the names of eight nominees to security agencies for clearance and subsequent confirmation by the State House of Assembly for appointment Commissioners.
Mukhtar Gidado, the Governor’s Special Adviser on Media and Publicity revealed this to journalists in a press statement on Tuesday.
According to him, the Governor’s move was aimed at reinvigorating governance and ensuring optimal service delivery in the State by injecting fresh ideas and energy into governance inorder to effectively address emerging challenges.
“In that respect, five commissioners were dropped. This move reflects the administration’s commitment to injecting new ideas and energy into governance, in line with the Governor’s vision of strengthening the machinery of government and addressing emerging challenges effectively.
“The commissioners affected by this development are:Dr. Jamila Dahiru – Commissioner of Education, Barr. Abubakar Abdulhameed Bununu – Commissioner of Internal Security and Home Affairs and Comrade Usman Danturaki – Commissioner of Information and Communication.
“Others are: Professor Simon Madugu Yalams – Commissioner of Agriculture and Alhaji Yakubu Ibrahim Hamza – Commissioner of Religious Affairs and Societal Reorientation,” he said.
Gidado stated that the Governor extended his profound gratitude to the outgoing commissioners for their dedication, service and invaluable contributions to the growth and development of Bauchi State.
He said that their efforts have been instrumental in advancing key initiatives and policies of his administration.
The Media Aide further said that the Governor wished them success in their future endeavors and expressed confidence that they will continue to contribute meaningfully to the development and progress of Bauchi State and Nigeria at large.
He also noted that the cabinet reconstitution is a routine measure aimed at enhancing the administration’s effectiveness.
Gidado said: “His Excellency has also forwarded the names of the following individuals for security clearance and subsequent confirmation as Honorable Commissioners by the Bauchi State House of Assembly .
“They are: Hon. Isa Babayo Tilde – Toro Local Government, Abdullahi Mohammed – Misau Local Government, Dr. Bala Musa Lukshi – Dass local Government and Usman Usman Shehu – Shira Local Government.
“Others are: Iliyasu Aliyu Gital – Tafawa Balewa Local Government, Prof. Titus Saul Ketkukah – Tafawa Balewa Local Government, Hon Adamu Babayo Gabarin – Darazo Local Government and Dr. Mohammed Lawal Rimin Zayam – Toro Local Government.
“The Governor remains committed to fulfilling the mandate of his administration and assures the people of Bauchi State that the government is steadfast in its mission to deliver impactful development and improved welfare for all.”
