Borno State Fire Service recently conducted a training session for police personnel in Maiduguri, focusing on fire safety and prevention.
According to the Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Nahum Daso Kenneth, the training aimed to equip officers with essential knowledge and skills to respond to fire emergencies, given the rise in fire incidents across the state and country.

The training, held at the Police State Command Headquarters, was led by Deputy Chief Fire Officer Ahmadu Isa.
He provided comprehensive insights into fire safety principles, handling fire extinguishers, and emergency techniques. Practical demonstrations on using fire blankets, water, and extinguishers to combat fires were also conducted.

The Commissioner of Police Borno State Command, CP Yusufu Lawal, expressed gratitude to the Borno State Fire Service for the training.
CP Lawal assured that the men and officers of the Borno State Police Command would definitely make proper use of the knowledge imparted on them to safeguard any eventuality.

He prayed for continuous cordial working relationship between the fire fire and police command towards serving humanity generally , stressing that, “safety is the hallmark of both organizations.”
