Borno State Government has resettled the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) of Konduga LGA into the newly constructed 1000 housing units that was commissioned by President Muhammadu Buhari months ago.
The Commissioner for the Ministry of Reconstruction Rehabilitation and Resettlement (MRRR), Engr Mustapha Gubio relocated the IDPs from Dalori camp II into the housing units shortly after the flagging off by Govenor Babagana Zulum on Thursday,
Gubio relocated over 700 households to Nguro Soye on that very day, where the returnees received cash, food, emergency relief materials and they are housed in the newly constructed emergency shelters in Nguro Soye community of Bama LGA.
Also, the commissioner on Friday relocated about 310 households of Konduga IDPs to the newly constructed 1000 mass housing units in Dalori.
During the distribution of the house, the coordinator of Victims Support Fund (VSF), Prof Nana Tanko, urged the returnees to make good use of the relief materials given to them and to ensure that they give their children basic education and better upbringing.
Engr Gubio also warned the returnees to be law abiding and maintain the houses allocated to them in the community.
He said subsequent distribution of housing units and relief materials will also take place as Dalori I, Muna , Gubio, as the El-badawi IDP camps have also been directed to be closed as soon as it is flagged by the governor within the stipulated periodic table..
