The Borno State Government through the Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) distributes the sum of 200,000 each to first batch 713, returnees who return back from Chad & Cameron respectively
The first trip (Batch A) also received many humanitarian intervention which includes food and NFI from the support of Borno State govt.
The flag-off of the distribution of the food items & NFI where took place In Gubio camp Maiduguri Borno state capital,
In the first batch of the repatriation exercise, about 713 families return back to their home town including Baga, Doro, Koros Kwauwa
& Bandaram.
Delivering his address at the flags-off DG SEMA Hon Ali Abdullahi Isa said only those that have voluntarily indicated interest in returning will be back to their ancestoral homes.
DG SEMA appreciate His Excellency Prof Engr Babagana Umara Zulum Mni FNSE CON, the Executive Governor of Borno State for catering for their welfare.
Serving Humanity is part of his Excellency’s priorities and he pray may Almighty Allah continue guide him and protect him in his office.
He quoted, “I want to thank the Executive Governor of Borno State for showing leadership during crises and serving as a role model in terms of complete collaboration with the federal government and for providing all the necessary support for the internally displaced persons (IDPs).
