
Lawmaker representing Hawul/Askira/Uba Federal Constituency, Borno State, Dr. Midala Balami

Member House of Representatives, (Askira- Uba/ Hawul) Federal Constituency, (PDP Borno state), Hon. Usman Balami has unveiled another comprehensive community medical outreach to ensure his people have better and free medical care.
This gesture which is intended to be a routine process is aimed at providing qualitative health care delivery system to people, especially those at the rural communities who have unidentified and identified ailments.
Flagging off the exercise in Lassa, Uba and Askira towns of Askira-Uba Local Government Area of Borno State , as well as Tashan Alade, Sabon Kasuwa, and Grim Damchoba in Hawul LGA of the state on Thursday , Hon. Balami said, the initiative is to bring together team of medical professionals who would provide free medical consultations, treatments, and screenings to hundreds of community members.
The lawmaker stressed that “a healthy community is a productive community’.”
According to him, the programme is designed to address the pressing healthcare needs of the constituency, particularly in rural areas where access to quality healthcare is often limited.
His words: “Today, in fulfillment of another campaign promises, we have launched a Comprehensive Community Complementary Medical Outreach (CCMO).
“The outreach is currently ongoing in Askira-Uba/Hawul Federal Constituency. It aims to provide essential healthcare services, especially to rural communities.
“The program is being held in several locations across the constituency, including Uba town, Lassa town, and Askira town in the Askira-Uba Local Government Area, as well as Tashan Alade, Sabon Kasuwa, and Grim Damchoba in the Hawul Local Government Area of Borno State.
“This initiative has brought together a team of medical professionals who are providing free medical consultations, treatments, and screenings to hundreds of community members.
” It is designed to address the pressing healthcare needs of the constituency, particularly in rural areas where access to quality healthcare is often limited.
“This community-focused initiative aligns with my commitment to improving the lives and well-being of my constituents.
“The success of this medical outreach program will demonstrate the positive impact that dedicated leadership and community engagement can have on addressing pressing development challenges. A healthy community is a productive community”. Balami said.
In their separate remarks, the Chairmen of the two Local Government Councils, Hon. Abubakar Mazhinyi and Hon. Hussaini Malgwi respectively applauded the Federal Lawmaker for the gesture.
They noted that such people oriented projects would go a long way in complementing efforts of the state government at all levels towards repositioning the health sector and ensure healthy living conditions of the people in the constituency.
